Americans are obviously obnoxious about this talking points but anyone who thinks it has zero truth to it is also being a bit daft.
350million people with all the leisure time, money and infrasture in the world would be at least pretty good at any sport they take seriously.
The only reason why the US doesn’t win every World Cup is because our best athletes choose football, baseball, basketball, and hockey over soccer
It’s like we are sending our 5th string up against everyone else’s best

Been flinging around Hobart all day, night mass goes from 10-4am, Bosnia v Canada at 5, Salamanca in the morning, USA v Paraguay at 11, Clarence v Kingborough at North Hobart at 1, flight to Melbourne at 4:30, fed square next day. Bring it on.
