This World Cup was going to be inevitably good for two reasons: 1) People from all over the world coming to USA/CAN/MEX on a vacation to actually have fun (duh) 2) The average American has gotten fatigued over the years by "America actually sucks" content I think a lot of people, especially Americans, just want to enjoy their summer, crack a beer, and hang out normally without having to read a billion geopolitical thinkpieces on the World Cup.
