We’ll follow the eastern liturgical tradition, regain apostolic succession (we have priests and bishops again yay), and commission a Church Slavonic translation of “A mighty fortress is our God”. Happy Sunday y’all! Today is the Second Sunday after Pentecost! Also known as the First Sunday after Trinity, this is the Time of the Church and the long season focuses on us and our walk with Christ. Lasting all the way to the start of the next Church year (which will start the 29th of November this year). This season has many different names, in the Roman Catholic Church, this time is called the Ordinary, while in many Anglican and Lutheran traditions, it’s Trinitytide. My congregation follows the 3 year lectionary and as such, we call it the Season after Pentecost. What is universal is what this season is about, which is reflected in the liturgical color of this season, green, to represent our growth in Christ. God bless
