He didnât apologize. He said the threats made him want to draw even more.
You can hate a work with every fiber of your being. That still doesnât give you the right to send death threats to the artist over drawings.

Everything about this screams massive surveillance.
I wonder how all the people who are pro-censorship will react when big brother suddenly restricts something they like. When that happens theyâll suddenly be crying about it.
Censorship is a slippery slope and it only gets worse.
Remember when Doki Doki Literature Club got removed from the Google Play Store over âsensitive themesâ? Now imagine a game or anime you actually enjoy getting restricted or banned, and you canât do anything about it because your device itself is being monitored at the OS level.
You have an opinion the government doesnât like? Now you get silenced or worse.
I still donât understand how some people keep pushing for more of this.

BREAKING: The UK is drafting a law to scan every photo, video and message on every phone in the country.
Tech CEOs who refuse to implement this could face up to 5 years in prison.
The proposal would force companies to build device level scanners that inspect content before encryption.
That means:

All directly on your phone.
Governments and companies pushing these safetyâ systems already have a terrible track record protecting user data.
Last month, Europeâs new age verification app, promoted as a way to "keep children safe," was hacked in under 2 minutes.
In another case, over 70,000 IDs and selfies linked to online verification systems were exposed in a major breach.
Now the UK wants even deeper access directly inside your device.
Once governments force surveillance tools into every phone, they can expand what gets monitored at any time.

I find it crazy that we live in a world where some Korean artists have to hide their nationality and pretend to be Japanese because of the censorship laws in their country.
It really upsets me. These laws go against freedom of art and freedom of expression. Talented creators shouldnât have to erase who they are or feel ashamed of their country just to draw what they love.
Fictional art doesnât hurt anyone. Artists deserve to be proud of their heritage while creating freely.

One of the reasons could be the recent wave of harassment that Gachiakuta author Kei Urana faced (leading to her deactivating her account, she later returned with a protected account)
What used to feel like a mostly wholesome cultural exchange on Japanese Twitter has gotten noticeably worse as the algorithm and user base shifted. The cultural bridge is crumbling sadly.
I still see a few wholesome interactions between Japan and the west but it indeed feels lesser than before
