Because journalists are too busy coming up with hypothetical scenarios and trying to manufacture gotcha moments for Catherine Connolly, I put together a list of some of her work 🧵 #Aras25

This is a false equivalency, a gang didn’t force itself into the security guards home. 4 activists attacked a weapons manufacturer that was making weapons used to slaughter children That you have to make up a different situation to criticise shows the weakness of your argument

Are you serious?! If a gang were to force themselves into your own home without prior permission looking like those "protesters", then any sane person would assume that they meant them harm and would defend themselves. Therefore it's perfectly reasonable that if staff were in what they would assume was a safe work environment, if the same gang of "protesters" were to break-in unlawfully and start destroying equipment, any sane person would think they were in danger and respond in much the same way. As they clearly looked deranged and dangerous in the video evidence. Also, any credibility you may have had dissolved the moment a You referred to the WAR as a genocide, which by any logical and evidence based application of the official definition, it does not meet. Just repeating a falsehood such as that doesn't change reality, though I guess it serves you for the false narrative you have decided you would prefer to push.

It cannot be overstated the fact that we’re all gonna die for the wealth of like 1000 people max. When the collapse happens, just keep those people in mind.

Well done @HollyCairnsTD for ensuring we only ever get FFG governments. Nobody should vote for a party that can’t rule out going into coalition with Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael.

It’s insane that they clipped this themselves Roaring like a scrawny Mussolini using 4,900 people working for Intel as a reason to continue to fund a genocidal state They can get new jobs—Palestinians can’t replace their dead relatives

I don’t like reposting ai, but this answer needs to be seen by all those that think the OTB will have a catastrophic impact on Ireland. Support the most evil country in the world or have a limited short term impact on some services that can be adapted.

A total Israeli boycott would have limited but noticeable short-term effects on Ireland’s public health sector. Teva (Israeli-owned) supplies ~1 in 8 prescription packs to Irish pharmacies and is a major generics provider to the HSE, driving substantial cost savings. Direct pharma imports from Israel are small (~$14M in 2024), plus ~$19M in medical apparatus. Alternatives exist for most products, so the system could adapt, but transitioning might raise HSE costs temporarily and cause minor supply hiccups. Ireland’s own large medtech/pharma hub would help buffer it.

Looked through a few pages of people who strongly oppose the OTB to protect Irish jobs, and none have said anything about AI taking thousands of Irish jobs 🥲

Every single person in the comments think Fine Gael are a left wing party. And Ireland is considered to have one of the best education systems in the world 🫠
Interesting to see thousands of ordinary centre left Galwegian voters transfer to the centre right to keep out the populist. Very French. Very Republican Front.

If you’re going to spout anti-immigrant rhetoric please at least tell me at the beginning of the conversation that you’re either uneducated and open to learning or you’re just racist. It would save a lot more time.

How is giving 1.5 billion to private landlords the fault of immigrants? Looking forward to you backing up that 80% with evidence Immigrants pay substantial tax here and studies show they contribute far more than they cost If you only earn the dole it means you live in poverty

Replying to @SlyForTheRight
What is actually wrong with privatising it? The state its in now under public ownership is a disgrace, with never ending queues. It can’t be any worse. And don’t say you have to start paying insurance because we are already paying that price and more through our taxes.
