I just returned from a strategic tour of two of Africa’s finest healthcare institutions—AMCE Abuja and Enugu International Hospital. First, AMCE Abuja: a $300M facility backed by Afreximbank (@AfreximResearch) and King’s College Hospital London (@KingsCollegeLon), delivering world-class tech, research, and specialized care. Next, Enugu International Hospital: a 300-bed quaternary government-owned hospital where Prof. George Ugwu walked us through their advanced systems and operational excellence.
Why does this matter for Niger State? We’re not reinventing the wheel, we’re learning from proven public and private models to reposition IBB Teaching Hospital, Minna as a top-tier center for specialized care in Northern Nigeria. Our goal is clear: bring advanced healthcare closer to Nigerlites, reduce medical tourism, and save more lives through innovation and patient-first systems.
Thanks to both teams for their openness and insights. The work to transform IBB Teaching Hospital has officially begun. Watch this space.

Before you close your eyes tonight, pray. Pray for our brothers and sisters currently living through a waking nightmare, held captive in the hands of brutal bandits. Pray for the fractured, grieving souls who have to bury their loved ones because of these wicked human beings. And pray with conviction that whoever has a hand in shedding innocent blood, or profits from this terror, finds no peace. May their punishment catch up to them ruthlessly right here in this world. Ameen.
