Lessons for Canada for an online safety bill from the fumbling of aspects of the DSA deployment. Plus illustrates why disinfo is such an impossible target for this type of law. And how reliant we are on a regulator with restraint, need for diverse team of experts etc

It is wild how fast the DSA has become a mechanism for big, clumsy, ill-checked, but effective moves to sway public discourse about a conflict far outside the EU. It’s like watching Trump smash through norms and legal technicalities, right to the Realpolitik.
