We need to #TaxTheRich if we want affordable, accessible healthcare.
If you got a tax refund this year, no you didn't. Because tariffs cost your family an extra $1,000 last year. Healthcare premiums are tripling. Gas prices are skyrocketing. Rent, childcare, groceries—all more expensive. Don't let them satiate you with a small refund, folks.

Can we #TaxTheRich yet?
A wealth tax on the top .15% of the richest families would generate $6.2 trillion in revenue. That could pay for: Universal childcare Millions of new homes Slashing child poverty Medicare for people aged 55 Universal paid family leave Tuition-free community college And more.

This is the 16th anniversary of the #AffordableCareAct, but there’s still plenty to do to make health care more affordable and accessible, but President Trump and the Republican majorities in Congress have gone in the opposite direction.  (1/2)

Thanks to their policies, millions more Americans are paying higher costs for insurance or, worse, losing their coverage even as health care corporations like hospitals, drug manufacturers and big insurers collect bigger tax breaks under Trump’s signature tax law. (2/2)

Last night during the #SOTU speech, President Trump spent far more time talking about hockey than healthcare.

There is more than enough money in this country to make sure everyone has access to quality, affordable healthcare. The fact it's not happening is a CHOICE.
You are paying more in taxes than Palantir. You are paying more in taxes than Tesla. You are paying a higher tax rate than Amazon. Let that sink in.

When the president says he's "winning" affordability, is this what he means?

All while driving up the out-of-pocket costs the rest of us are paying for our healthcare...
The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress "have allowed a hugely profitable corporation to avoid paying even a dime of federal income tax on their 2025 US profits." commondreams.org/news/does-t…

YET ANOTHER EXAMPLE: Giving tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy doesn't do a darn thing to help the rest of us...
Just a casual reminder that you don't lower costs for families or create jobs by throwing a bunch of money and tax breaks at people who are already rich.

.@SenSchumer sought to pass the House-approved 3-year extension of ACA tax credits by unanimous consent. Senator @MikeCrapo (R-ID) objected to passage, saying that extension of subsidies without reforms is not a solution to health care affordability.
