The Horry County Board of Education named April Scott the new Deputy Chief Academic Officer. Ms. Scott has been theexecutive director of secondary schools since July 1, 2018,and will begin her new position on July 1, 2026.
The Horry County Board of Education appointed Matthew Robinson during their May 28, 2026, special-called meeting to fulfill the unexpired term of District 5 until 2028. Mr. Robinson took the oath of office at the Horry County Board of Education Work Session on June 8, 2026.
