Zaikiya Duncan is back in Harris County, returning to face felony charges of child abuse. Duncan, 40, was extradited from Louisiana this weekend, where she fled after her 15-year-old twins escaped their Cypress home where they were allegedly locked in handcuffs. #hounews

Constable Ted Heap is relieved to report Sherry Noppe, missing since Tuesday, has been found in George Bush Park. She was located at approx. 3am Friday by a group of tireless volunteers and deputies who were alerted by the sound of her dog, Max, barking in the woods. #hounews

ARRESTED: Oscar Rosales was taken into custody by law enforcement authorities in Mexico earlier today. We are working with our law enforcement partners to begin the process of returning Rosales to Harris County.

Scary moment for Pct. 5 Deputy A. Gonzales. While helping a stranded motorist, a suspected drunk driver zoomed past on the shoulder, nearly striking the deputy and 2 others. Deputy sustained a serious back injury but should make full recovery. Driver arrested on 2 felony charges.

A suspect has been taken to the hospital after an officer-involved shooting this morning in the 10300 block of Mullins. Another woman was taken to the hospital after being stabbed by the suspect. HPD is on scene and is handling the investigation.

Pct. 5 deputies, responding to a suspicious activity call this morning, found 5 migrants inside a tractor-trailer in Katy. The undocumented individuals appear to be part of a human smuggling attempt. Deputies gave them food and water before turning their case over to HSI Houston.
