This World AIDS Day, we’re calling on Ireland to #UnmaskStigma.
New data shows a 41% rise in first-time HIV diagnoses among women in 2024, with the sharpest increase among women aged 45–49.
This Irish AIDS Day, stand with all people living with and impacted by HIV.
HIV is a health issue, not a judgement.
Together, we can challenge stigma, support testing and treatment, and build a future where everyone affected by HIV can live well.

Today is #WorldAIDSDay.
The HIV response has always shown what humanity can achieve when we stand united.
Global collective action has saved millions of lives, but shrinking funding now puts this progress at risk.
Leaders must recommit to ending AIDS and saving lives.

This World AIDS Day, we’re calling on Ireland to #UnmaskStigma.
New data shows a 41% rise in first-time HIV diagnoses among women in 2024, with the sharpest increase among women aged 45–49.
With effective treatment, people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives, and cannot pass HIV on to a sexual partner.
But stigma stops many people long before they reach a clinic or testing service.
Stigma is one of our biggest remaining barriers to ending new HIV transmissions in Ireland.
We must create an environment where everyone feels safe to test and supported to access care.
Speak up. Share. Stand with us. ❤️
