‘The generosity of the UK’s asylum system is being severely exploited.’ Research Fellow at the Henry Jackson Society Emma Schubart reacts to an asylum seeker being found guilty of raping a 18-year-old girl and being sentenced to 10 years in jail.

1) There is no slack in the budget to pay for any extra stuff. 2) Defence has been catastrophically mismanaged for over a decade. 3) If you want money for Defence, it comes from cuts elsewhere (and a LOT of cuts to fund the amount needed), or from tax rises. MOD reform a must.
