@hmsdiamond returned home to Portsmouth for an emotional reunion with loved ones after an historic deployment that saw her shoot down nine drones and a ballistic missiles in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Diamond's ๐ Flight team provide anti-surface and submarine warfare, reconnaissance, medical evacuations, and transport operations. This team of highly skilled aircrew and engineers use the Wildcat helicopter to support DIAMOND on operations.

The destroyer's #RoyalMarines boarding team from @42_commando pounced on a suspect dhow to stop and search the vessel in the Gulf of Aden โ 2.4 tonnes of illicit narcotics have now been destroyed.
