happy pride month. when i came out, i had no idea how much my life would change. there were moments of fear, loss, and uncertainty, but there were also moments of love, connection, and hope that i could never have imagined. looking back, i’m grateful for every person who stood by me, listened to my music, shared my story, and reminded me that being honest about who i am was worth it. being openly gay in kpop has never been the easiest path, but it has allowed me to meet incredible people around the world and to be part of something bigger than myself. for that, i am deeply thankful. this pride month, i’m reminded that visibility matters, authenticity matters, and every person deserves the freedom to live as themselves. thank you for growing with me through all these years. i promise to keep challenging myself, keep creating, and keep becoming a better artist and a better human being. happy pride. 🌈

last april fools’, i joked that i got married and it kind of blew up, so i ended up spending a lot of time trying to fix the situation. this year i couldn’t come up with anything that could top that, so i’ll just keep it simple and tell you i love you. this isn’t a joke, i truly mean it.

in korea, when people meet me, a lot of them only see the “gay” part of me first. but my friends and the people i met here were curious about me as a person. they wanted to know me, not just a label. i’m just me. being gay is only one part of who i am. but many people still approach me with preconceptions, or say they’re open minded like it’s some kind of joke. maybe that’s why i felt lonely without even realizing it. but here, i’ve received so much comfort. i’ve been genuinely happy. thank you to everyone who sees me for who i am and accepts me as i am. it really means more than you know.
