It will be almost two years that I have retired from hoops after a 48-year run. I thought many of you would enjoy Gary Fogle's podcast that I was recently on at podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

I have spent all or parts of the last decades as a basketball scout and camp director. I've had an incredible journey from 1973 to 2021; however, every journey has an end. Thus, with mixed feelings, I've decided to retire at the end of this month. Now on to my bucket list!
It is now official. 7-2 sophomore, John Bol, who was the RU-MVP at the HPBC Camp this summer in Louisville, KY, will be attending Christian Brothers High School in St. Louis, MO, this upcoming school year. He is a legit high major prospect.
Coach Chris Stallings of Bullitt East H.S., KY, has come up with a terrific lineup of 20 top Bluegrass teams for his school's annual "Hooparama". It is set for November 20th in Mt. Washington, KY. To view the lineup, go to basketball-camp.net/about/bl…
Victory Academy in Xenia, OH, is a newly established link year prep school for players who have either just graduated or will graduate next year. Contact Coach Brad Newsome if this is of interest to anyone at brad.t.newsome@gmail.com
In the 41 year history of the "HPBC Boys Camp", most of which had multiple sessions, only a couple of freshmen have ever made the All-Tournament Team. This past summer two frosh, 5-9 Myles Montgomery of Minford (OH) & 5-11 Ty Price of Bowling Green South Warren (KY) both made it!
Grant County's (KY) loss is Taylor County's (KY) gain. I'm talking about 6-5 rising junior 2 guard, Mason Guffey, who recently transferred to Taylor County. Guffey averaged 13 PPG a year ago, but look for those numbers to increase this season. He's one of the state's top marksman
One of the top sister combinations in the Hoosier State for the upcoming season are the Wengers who attend Mater Dei High School in Evansville. Kennedy is a 6-0 senior while her sister, Kate, is a 5-11 junior. Both can play and will lead their team to a deep Class AA title run.
Keep an eye on 5-11 senior, Cameron Hunt, of Antioch Ezell Harding, TN. This smooth combo guard can do it all in the backcourt and will get looks from low D-1 to top D-2 for this upcoming season.
Keep an eye out on 6-7 rising junior Gunner Farley of Eagletown High School in Eagletown, OK. He's a versatile forward who can shoot and score. Look for him to improve leaps and bounds over the next two seasons!
A rising seventh grader for this upcoming season who is really advanced for her class is 5-11 Shamari Robertson of Jefferson County Traditional School in Louisville, KY. A tremendous shot blocker, the sky is the limit for her! College coaches-remember where you got this name.
Look for 6-5 senior combo forward, Jaiden Cox-Holloway of Richmond Heights, OH, to be on the destinations of many D-1 recruiters this fall as his stock is r-i-s-i-n-g each day!
An up and coming freshman with a huge upside is 5-8 guard, Peyton Bradley of Brandenburg Meade Co. H.S., KY. As an eighth grader last season, she averaged 17 PPG while shooting over 40% from the field. The sky is the limit for her!
