So, I am finally going to narrow down the #YuGiOh decks that I have moving forward in order to focus more on the #GoatFormat as that is more fun even at the local level. I'll be keeping 3-ish of the modern style decks though. Asking my local group for their opinion. What's yours?

The final and the most important thing to protect is yourself. Tournaments can be lengthy at times and so I would recommend bringing a bottle of water as well as a snack that is not super messy and easy to eat quickly. Always take care of yourself during events. #UseProtection

As a duelist, you need to protect others from the unwanted mass of body odor that can quickly accumulate when many people gather. So, make sure to shower and use deodorant prior to arriving every day you are there. #UseProtection #CleanYourself

This one is designed to protect yourself at tournaments rather than your cards & other items. I recommend having a notepad & pen combo to keep track of your life points. Judges tend to side with players who have the life points written on paper. #UseProtection

The time has come to upgrade your deck box to add even more protection for your deck while on the go. I do recommend the Ultimate Guard sidewinder deck boxes for a single deck. Compact with enhanced protection compared to the Ultra Pro box you were using before. #UseProtection

For your main playmat, I would recommend getting the @UltimateGuard Flip’n’Tray mat case. Because it is sturdier than the tubes so no damage will happen to your playmat as well as providing a small tray for coins and dice. It can also fit up to two playmats. #UseProtection

With all the protection you have for your cards & items, now is the time to think about upgrading the plastic bag you’re using for transporting them to a backpack. One that is designed to prevent theft such as the Ammonite Anti-Theft backpack shown below is ideal. #UseProtection

As far as your playmat is concerned there are a handful of options for you to protect the mat from damage that may be acquired from travel. You could go the plastic tube option as it is the cheapest and still provide protection. #UseProtection

Now, by this point, you should have a few extra cards that you may want to protect that will not fit into your deck, extra deck, or side deck. I recommend picking up a portfolio, aka card binder. Particularly a side loading one. So, your cards won't fall out. #UseProtection

Your deck is now protected better for travel and play, but what about from the grime that may not be seen on the table that you are playing on? This is where a playmat comes into play. Find one that you like and dirt should no longer be an issue. #UseProtection

Now that you upgraded your deck box, it's time that you thought about sleeving your cards for extra protection during travel and during play. Sleeves can range from $1 to $20 depending on what you are looking for. The ones I use are only about $8 for 60 sleeves. #UseProtection
