Dr Aileen Callanan awarded a HSE Special Innovation Award!
Research, part of Aileen's PhD, focused on stroke prevention in older people, with close collaboration between Cork Kerry Community Healthcare, HSE, School of Public Health, Dept of General Practice, UCC & Primary Care.
Expressions of interest are sought for the role of Chair of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee.
The role is open to both UCC and HSE staff and retirees in senior health care professional roles.

Who can take part?
Young people who are non-speaking, sometimes speaking or communicate differently aged from 16 to 24 years and their supporters can take part. They should have made or be getting ready to make a support agreement under the Assisted Decision-Making (Capacity) Act 2015.
What will people taking part have to do?
People taking part in this research will have to tell Clíona things like who helps them to make decisions, what role under the new law they picked, what was easy or hard about learning about it or getting it set up.
