We may have to start doing this more frequently! @elainekinsella and I have done a huge amount in the last few months: Two @AppgCoronavirus hearings. @keepnhspublic People's Covid Inquiry. Becoming part of @theHWF advisory group. Published three papers and a report. Busy busy!
We're getting our 18 month participant newsletter together and there is just SO MUCH NEWS! It's amazing the amount of things we've been able to achieve with this project so far, and even more amazing that we're only just scratching the surface! Watch this space!

Heroes are human, and humans are fragile. We need to change the way we talk about heroes to allow them the room to feel, to fall apart if and when they need to, and to ask for - and get - the help they need. Sending love and strength, Joan. Thank you for speaking out πŸ’™
I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD. I'm on the road to recover but that meant I had to leave the job I love. We are no heroes, we are human beings. I've written a blog about my experiences during #COVID19. Please take care of you mental health. wecommunities.org/blogs/3586

Five years ago MP #JoCox was murdered. I use her words frequently in my work and firmly believe them to be true We have more in common than which divides us. We should work harder to create conversations where the good is seen and shared

From clinical rehabilitation to leadership to communities-- heroes are at the very core of societies. We are just beginning to make sense of this complex, messy & fascinating topic. #heroismscience2021

We (@RsquaredComicz) presented our work on #morals and #superheroes at @HScience2021 today! Turns out we're less permissive of #superheroes doing bad things (unfair, harmful) than villains @HeroismScience @HeroesToday
''It is worse if superman does it'' - Title of the great presentation by Hansika Kapoor @hansika_kapoor and Justin F. Martin at #heroismscience2021. It highlighted how morally reprehensible actions are viewed as worse when done by a superhero than when done by villains @ULPsych

This theme was ever present at today’s @HScience2021 event today. Activating our communities to be allies and challenge abuse in all its forms is key to prevention. Let’s create a world of moral rebels @HeroesToday
Prevention of most issues starts in the community. Violence is one issue where community responses are vital. Policing a service of last resort when communities are empowered to act. Always made sense to me.
