Heroes are human, and humans are fragile. We need to change the way we talk about heroes to allow them the room to feel, to fall apart if and when they need to, and to ask for - and get - the help they need.

I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD.
I'm on the road to recover but that meant I had to leave the job I love.
We are no heroes, we are human beings.
I've written a blog about my experiences during #COVID19.

Prevention of most issues starts in the community. Violence is one issue where community responses are vital. Policing a service of last resort when communities are empowered to act. Always made sense to me.
