Install Complete for the Wembley Pitch.
Our Previous hybrid stitch has now been removed and our 2024 HT Pro going in with a 55mm Hatko Carpet.
Completion on Friday and a 90mins pitch use on Tuesday to see how the pitch delivered regarding its playability. A tricky project due to this being in winter and over 2 locations with such different climates.
All key scenarios to run due to the flexibility needed in our Wembley schedule now we have moved to this new business model.
Not an easy one harvesting, installing and delivering a pitch in winter with a game so quick after but great work from the Wembley Grounds Team, @HSportsturf and @tillersturf

After playing host to a number of sell-out concerts attended by over half a million people, our focus turns back to football.
A new state-of-the-art pitch will be in place for Sunday's FA #CommunityShield between @Arsenal and @ManCity. The new hybrid 'Lay and Play' grass pitch was grown at a specialist turf farm, hundreds of miles away from Wembley. Once ready a number of lorries transported more than 720 rolls of the hallowed turf to the stadium, before it was laid out under the arch last week 🚛
