DIRTY HABIT … Windhoek mayor Sakarias Uunona has called on residents of the city to stop littering and reject the belief that it creates jobs for City of Windhoek workers. Uunona said littering makes it harder to keep the city clean and creates health risks for communities. He was speaking at the eighth mayoral clean-up campaign at Stop n Shop on Saturday.

We have become far too aggressive with advertising, and we badly need tighter consumer protection. Putting this on national radio where they know our elders are listening is deliberate, and honestly, some of these products have no business being advertised to the public at all.
Nampost (PostFin) was on NBC Kati FM telling pensioners that they qualify for loans etc.
I think some of these products shouldn’t be advertised.

I think some of these products shouldn’t be advertised.
Why are we selling debt to the people who have already stopped earning? This is preying on some of the most vulnerable people in our economy.
Pensioners are on a fixed income. They cannot recover from a financial mistake the way a young person can.
