We have fantastic local, national and international speakers coming to join us.
This multidisciplinary event is aimed at Doctors, Nurses, Allied Healthcare Professionals, and Policy Makers who are interested in supporting the integration and sustainability of family integrated care in neonatology.
Our much loved surgical liaison nurse Maggi has retired! 🥹
Maggi has been nursing for an amazing 41 years 😮
Maggi has developed a wonderful rapport with the families she has cared for…
She has created a service which has transformed neonatal surgical care enabling babies and their families to be cared for in units closer to home or at home with support.
We are so thankful for everything you have done for neonatal care!
Enjoy your well deserved rest! 🥰🫶🏻
Upcoming opportunity to work in our busy NICU and build specialist skills in surgical neonatal care, quality improvement and family integrated care! 😊
Come and join our team!

As part of baby loss awareness week, we would like to acknowledge the amazing work that has went into creating “The memorial book of pregnancy and baby loss prior to 24 weeks in Scotland.” 🤍
This has been produced jointly by the Scottish government and national records of Scotland and is for anyone who has experienced pregnancy or baby loss prior to 24 weeks.
This will offer the opportunity to provide recognition & may provide comfort to those who wish to have a record of their loss. This is a personal choice and some families may want some time to think about it.
As part of baby loss awareness week we would like to highlight the memory milk gift initiative 🤎
This initiative launched in Scotland last year & gives bereaved families the choice to donate breast milk in memory of their baby 🤍 @Scotmemorymilk
Should a family choose this option they will go through a screening process and will have their baby’s name added to a hand painted tree located in the milk bank at the Queen Elizabeth hospital. 🌳
Families will also receive a memory milk pebble with their baby’s name to remember their precious gift to others.
Mathew James was the first baby to have a leaf on the tree and since the launch in September 2022 19 babies have been commemorated on the tree at the milk bank. 🍃
