Today we are celebrating the International day of Women and Girls in Science through our online lessons @Hailey_Turnford We asked the question - What would make Scientific jobs more appealing to women? The fantastic responses from our students can be read below!

'Combat negative stereotypes about gender and intellect.'
14
'We could encourage more women/girls to apply for scientific jobs by sharing some personal amazing activities and opportunities. This may make them more open to the suggestion of coming into a scientific job, as they would’ve seen how interesting it is.'
1
'Women scientists being talked about more, maybe in the news or online, so that it appeals to them.'
'Educate young girls before they get the chance to become exposed to the stereotype of science being made for men. Give women a wider range of knowledge about what it really means to take on these roles and the ways in which it is possible to make the world better.'
'Acknowledge every significant scientific advancement made by women so far and make it know that without female scientists we would not be where we are today.'
'We can let people know what the last women have done for science. We can stop the stereotype!'
'Maybe adding more females to the advertising to make it seem more normal and comfortable.'
