Because I want to be transparent and stand by my work that I’ve done in this industry for almost a decade now, I gave Nick Suzuki a first-place vote for Hart.
The Hart’s criteria is the “most valuable player to his team.” Yes Habs have rising talent, but Suzuki had a 100 point season, was the league’s top defensive forward and they don’t make the run they did and turn into a legit team to watch without him.
That said, the ballots altogether were by no means easy this year. I’m confident enough in my vote and have integrity, so I’m more than happy to share my explanation with you all and have it out there.
