A single destroyer armed with 16 supersonic BrahMos and Barak 8 LRSAMs carries enough lethality to send an entire aircraft carrier to the bottom. Flying at Mach 3 just 5 meters above the sea, BrahMos stays hidden until it crosses the radar horizon at 27 kilometers, leaving the enemy with only 27 seconds to react. Since a typical naval defense system requires 25 seconds for the sensor to shooter loop, the target is left with a microscopic 2 second window to even attempt an intercept.
In the final phase, BrahMos performs a high-G 360 degree S maneuver with 0.5 meter cep, making it virtually impossible for tracking systems to maintain a lock. With 32 times the kinetic energy of a Tomahawk, launching a full salvo of 16 BrahMos missiles delivers the impact force of over 500 subsonic Tomahawk missiles hitting at once. This overwhelming saturation of speed and agility shatters the enemy command structure before they can even confirm the threat on their screens. India sent 6 such Warships at the mouth of Strait of Hormuz
Who can tell me about the Indian Navy?
From what I understand, the Indian Navy has entered the Gulf of Oman, east of the Strait of Hormuz, deploying additional warships, including Visakhapatnam-class destroyers, to escort its own tankers, especially LPG and fuel tankers, through tense waters amid the Iran conflict.
They're not pushing into the strait itself much, but meeting vessels once they clear it, keeping things safe without getting tangled in direct fights.
