Did we mention that all of the verticals where selected by @Bostonchildren's Teen Advisory Council members & @SJDbarcelona_es Young Person's Advisory Council?
Behind the scenes from todays' inspiring international Experts Session between @BostonChildrens' Teen Advisory Committee & @SJDbarcelona_es' Kids Barcelona Scientific Council for an upcoming #healthcare#hackathon. Love that both hospitals realize that the kids are the experts!
Hackathons can yield amazing output. But have to question the utility of new untested prototype technology in the height of an outbreak given challenges of adoption. Let’s also hope for some innovation efforts when the hype dies down! #COVID19
I’m a nerd so I love me a good hackathon (in the rare event that they’re mentored by domain experts and yield feasible solutions), but holding a mass in-person gathering right now to hack #COVID19 seems oxymoronic. Given the audience, there’s no reason this can’t be moved online.
