🛡️ Zcash Ecosystem Digest — May 10th ⓩ This week highlighted continued progress across the Zcash ecosystem, from infrastructure upgrades to global community growth and post-quantum research. 🔒 Core protocol updates: • Zebra 4.4.1 was released with a critical security fix related to a consensus vulnerability affecting V5 transactions. • zcashd v6.12.3 hotfix was also released, improving network reliability and maintenance. ⚡ Ecosystem integrations & tooling: Zcash adoption infrastructure continues expanding with: • WalletConnect v2 integration efforts • CipherPay for WooCommerce now listed in the WordPress Plugin Directory • QuickNode support now live for Zcash mainnet and testnet developers These integrations improve accessibility for users, merchants, and builders across the ecosystem. 🌍 Global community activity: Community-led education and onboarding efforts continue growing across regions including India @ZcashIND , Brazil @zcashbrazil , Tanzania , Nigeria @ZcashNigeria , Turkey @ZcashTR , and Spanish-speaking communities. Several local initiatives, protocol studies, educational programs, and ecosystem events were highlighted throughout the week. 🧠 Post-quantum roadmap: Discussions around quantum-recoverable wallets and post-quantum cryptography continue gaining momentum, with reports suggesting recoverable wallet functionality may arrive before broader post-quantum upgrades over the coming year. 📈 Ecosystem momentum: The digest also highlighted increasing market attention around ZEC, rising social activity, developer updates, community grants, and continued work on privacy-focused financial infrastructure.
