Today we took on the Saluda Shoals challenge course and these kiddos did a phenomenal job!

We celebrated another Crew birthday yesterday!
We snacked on his favorites; popcorn, ice cream and Pepsi, while talking about our goals for Q2.
His goal was to be elected for student council VP!

Raider Side Quest has come and gone. We dominated at hungry hungry hippos and came in 2nd in Moon Ball and STEM against our groups. We’ve got some growing to do and leadership skills to gain, but I’m excited to see how these gladiators do in the spring!

Today I am thankful for the#Lex1Math coordinators for CHALLENGING my brain this week with these frameworks and Chick Fil A (because their play area is open keeping my 5 year old occupied and they have a cozy seat for my 1 year old to sleep).

Our 6th grade mathematicians have been working hard through their iReady pathways all year. In April we kicked it up a notch and challenged them to pass at least 50 lessons.
Today we celebrated with 85 of our 6th graders who collectively passed more than 4,250 lessons! #Lex1Math

This class began the semester planting carrots and harvested them today. Nothing beats a carrot fresh out of the garden and washed off in the sprinkler. If you think kids don’t eat their veggies anymore you’d be incorrect as there were many trades & bartering to get a giant 🥕!

HUGE props to these 3 student-leaders who were the first 3 Ss to EVER present a Passage @LakesideMS_Lex1! They served as models for our Ts to “live” the panelist process & were part of the rubric calibration. We are all better prepared bc of their leadership & courage.

We celebrated our $33,000 Counting Collections for Mathematics Grant to @LexingtonOne Instructional Services Tuesday! It will support 315 teachers & almost 6,000 K-2 students by strengthening & improving their counting abilities - a critical skill for students to learn. #math
