The Friends would like to thank @HalifaxCalder for their kind donation of Β£50.00. This was in response to a talk (via Zoom) given by our Chairman David Glover to the Halifax Calder Rotary Club about the Cemetery. πŸ™

We’ve turned #Purple4Polio today at @Halifax_Market - raising awareness with the residents of #Calderdale, of the continued efforts by Rotarians throughout the world, to eradicate the preventable disease.
Come visit us today at @Halifax_Market, where we’re raising awareness of the great work #Rotary has been doing over the past 30yrs to help #EradicatePolio - and just how close we are!
Last night, Halifax Calder #Rotary Club was visited by this wonderfully realistic #robotic #cat - which is one of many being used to help those suffering from #dementia or #loneliness.

100 years ago today, World War I came to an end. At least 1,800 Rotary members from the UK and USA served in the military during the war. More than 50 lost their lives. This week, we look back at how the war unfolded in the pages of The Rotarian. rotarygbi.org/rotary-war-and…
