Year 1 have been learning about different parts of the human body. It was great to see how many parts we could label, as our models were almost covered by the end!

There was lots of confident coding in Year 3 today where the children used Lego Spike to build a ticket machine with a colour sensor to detect the correct ticket. #STEMeducation #LEGO

Halstow's art week is under way! This year the title is Connections. We are exploring connections to ourselves, our community and our world. Here we are creating papier-mâché globes. We can't wait to showcase the projects from across the school!

Year 3 had a great visit to @Creekside_Trust Creekside Discovery Centre today to support their learning about rivers. They waded down Deptford Creek, learning about the geography, history and wildlife of the area. What a fantastic day!

Year 2 have been busy with their Monet-inspired Impressionist waterlily paintings in Art. We are looking forward to seeing his work next half term at the National Gallery!

We've been learning about all types of different joints in Year 1 and having been applying this knowledge to create some brilliant, sturdy boats in Art.

In D & T, Year 4 have been designing high energy cereal bars for people working in extreme conditions, such as the Antarctic. We decided to name our product, the ‘Beowulf Bar’, because we believe it has enough slow burning carbohydrates to sustain even the toughest heroes.
