At the Halton Regional Police Service, we are dedicated to building programs that encompass transparency, accountability, and trust, fueling the type of community engagement that fosters understanding and breaks down barriers. Our Police Ethnic and Cultural Education (PEACE) Youth Leadership Program students are graduating with a new perspective of policing. Going behind the scenes, they learned how our different units operate, the skills required to be a police officer, and developed the self-confidence to say yes to opportunities that will be presented to them in the future. Congratulations to our recent graduates! 🎊 ➡️ Read more about the PEACE Program: bit.ly/4e45zZs

👋 Meet Patch – the Halton Regional Police Service’s very first police mascot! A special thank you to everyone who took part in the naming contest, where we received more than 80 submissions! Patch’s name was submitted by Alysia Poirier, a resident from Milton. She chose Patch as it speaks to the police patch we wear with pride, but more importantly, represents the connection between our Service and the #Halton community we are honoured to serve. 🐶 🐾 Whether it’s sniffing their way into community events or lending a paw with youth programming and education initiatives, Patch will help strengthen the positive relationships between police and the community we proudly serve.

Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) officers know how to ride responsibly and are asking you to do the same. With motorcycle season upon us - know your ABC’s: ✔️ A - Plan Ahead: Check your headlights, your mirrors, and take a walk around your motorcycle to see if there are any loose or missing parts. ✔️ B - Be Seen: Reflective, light-coloured clothing, including your helmet, will ensure other motorists can see you, particularly when it's dark out. ✔️ C - Create Escapes: Avoid tail gating and other high-risk behavior that can place you at risk of a crash. Avoid losing your license – and your motorcycle. Read more safety tips on our website: bit.ly/4ebutHI #MotorcycleSafetyAwarenessMonth
