Last week 5th graders picked a word to focus their goals around for 2026! I was hoping to help them develop a place to goal set for the year to come. I got so much more. Students took time to really reflect on last year and what they wanted from the new year in/out of school!

We had my 2nd favorite day of the year- Biztown Interview Day (1st being the Biztown Firld trip)! The students did so well in their interviews. @MissWaire_5th prepared them so well! Grateful for our volunteers that came to make student interviews possible!

This young scholar won the perfect attendance drawing and choose ME to give a shout out to on morning announcements!! 🥰🥰 She’s a pretty quiet girl and I was surprised she choose to even be on the announcements. Love her sweet shout out & her speaking to the whole school. 💜

What a great day at Biztown! Our citizens worked hard and learned so much. Overheard on the way home.“I wish we could go again next year.” Mayor Bentley did an excellent job with his speeches and citizen of the day was awarded to Mackenzie! Thank you to all our volunteers!💜

Sts studied the motivations & impact of one European Explorer then created poster based on these facts.Sts used these posters to learn about 3 more explorers. ❤️that this lesson reached my readers,critical thinkers,artists & problem solvers.Even our IT couldn’t help but stop by!

Biztown was a HUGE success. Mayor sworn in, quality businesses ran, friendly letters delivered, the joy of earning an income and spending money to purchase what you want/need and pay off your debt. Proud of SFE 5th graders for being dedicated citizens.

A lot is happening to get ready for BizTown next week. Student got a laminated page to practice their signature. Students also got their jobs and have met in their business teams to apply for a loan, sign a promissory note, and create 3 different ads!! #buisnessready

And we have our mayor!! Joyce was our choice! A spin on her slogan!! It was a close race and the runner-up made and delivered a handmade snowflake and letter to let her know there were no hard feelings and she knew she’d make a great mayor!! 🥹 #stoutfieldgood
