On Saturday, we were honoured to join the medical camp hosted at St. Stephen's Church of Uganda – Mpererwe, extending essential healthcare services closer to the Mpererwe community. Organised in partnership with the Rotary Club of Mpererwe, People's Hospital, and Nakasero Blood Bank, the camp benefited 523 individuals, receiving services including cervical cancer screening, eye care, dental care, general medical consultations, and health education. We proudly joined the global community in commemorating #WorldMalariaDay2026 on Saturday through a meaningful partnership with the Rotaract Club of Kampala North, Kira, Mpererwe, Kitenzi, Kampala - Nsambya, Malaria Partners Uganda, and Malaria Partners International. The day was marked by impactful community engagement in Mpererwe, including the official launch of the Child-to-Family Malaria Programme initiative designed to empower children as agents of change in promoting malaria prevention within their households and communities. We also took part in a malaria sensitization march across the Mpererwe community, amplifying awareness on prevention and control. This was complemented by powerful and creative skit performances by the children of Mpererwe Church of Uganda Schools, who brought to life the importance of collective responsibility in the fight against malaria. In line with our commitment to sustainability and healthier communities, we planted trees at the school symbolizing growth and our shared responsibility to safeguard both public health and the environment.
