Great news: Flavien added a separate setting for the inventory character model quality — ui.inventoryplayerquality.
It’s now tied to the graphics presets. A small change, but a really important one for lower-end PCs.

Is it worth overpaying for RAM for AMD processors, or can you save money and choose not DDR5-6000 CL30, but the cheapest DDR5-4800 CL40?
I tested this in Rust to answer that question and show how many FPS you lose on an X3D processor with cheap RAM.

With manually tuned RAM timings, latency is 69–71 ns; without OC it jumps to 93 ns. That hits 1%/0.1% lows hard: fewer stutters, better frametimes, smoother gameplay.

I ran tests on a subscriber’s PC with an AMD 9800X3D processor and an RTX 4070 Ti at 2560×1440 resolution. There was a very good FPS increase, because the new update will include optimizations for the new characters and the container skin. The GPU load is much lower now.

I ran a general test, and the results are really good. The FPS has noticeably increased, and the graphics card is finally under much less load. What’s especially nice is that in demanding locations, such as raids, the FPS gain is almost 40.

Which graphics card should I buy for the 9800X3D at 2560×1440 resolution?
First build: 9800X3D RTX 4070 Ti 12 GB
Second build: 9800X3D RTX 5080 16 GB
The settings, CPU, and RAM overclocking are identical. Resolution — 2560×1440.
