It's been a great week at the State GOP Convention (other than the parking and traffic)! What I've especially enjoyed seeing was all the kids from babies to teens here. They are the hope for the future of our state and country! I'm looking forward to working with the new RPT leadership to keep Texas red and make Harris County red again! Thank you Abraham for your service.

Vote for Republican Marc Cowart for Harris County Treasurer. Unlike the incumbent, he’s not falling down drunk all the time or burglarizing cars. And unlike the incumbent, he’s competent.

FACT CHECK: Peyton Peebles was not even a judge when this bond was set. Judge Peyton Peebles was appointed in January 2025 — months AFTER this defendant’s bond was set in October 2024. He literally was not even a judge when the bond was issued. The Harris County Democrats either don’t know basic facts or they’re intentionally lying to the public to push a political narrative. Either way, it’s reckless and dishonest.

Proud of our Texas history and the fight it took to secure it. On San Jacinto Day, we remember the victory at the Battle of San Jacinto that changed everything.
190 years ago today, Texas secured its independence from Mexico at the Battle of San Jacinto. General Sam Houston’s legacy was cemented in Texas history following his victory and the subsequent capture of General Antonio López de Santa Anna. Happy San Jacinto Day, Texas.

We warned this would happen. Chairman Cindy Siegel responds ⬇️ "We warned that reckless decisions like this would have real consequences—and now they have. This ordinance is in direct violation of SB 4 and is exactly the kind of political ploy against ICE to benefit certain City Council campaigns that we cannot afford when public safety is on the line. The loss of critical funding is not hypothetical—it’s happening, and Houston families will feel the impact. Leadership means understanding the risks and putting public safety first—and unfortunately, that did not happen here."
Statement from @houmayor John Whitmire: Last week, I voted for the revised "Prop A" Ordinance on Immigration believing it affirmed our original policy: Houston enforces state and local law-not federal law, and we are not ICE. However, Governor Abbott disagrees. Read full statement⬇️
