New pub in @JAMAHealthForum. The paper examines how bans on gender-affirming care increase risks of injection-related illnesses like hepatitis C and HIV among trans individuals. It advocates for harm reduction strategies to mitigate these health threats.

I worked here as a postdoc and it was one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. The faculty are truly top tier -- they are extremely kind, collaborative, productive, accessible, and dedicated to mentorship. Also, their trainees go on to get great jobs :)
Today I was sworn in as a public member of the Washington DC Board of Medicine. The Mayorās Office told me they believe I am the first nonbinary person in United States history to sit on a board of medicine.

Although we did not specifically write this resource for academics, we hope that they, including sociologists, will find it useful and engage with it. For instance, we believe it can be a useful resource for sociology students.
