People have been asking when I’m gonna do a Petty on Jess. I’m just not there. Petties are meant to be fun and I just can’t see myself enjoying it. I’m genuinely bummed out and disappointed. I know what I need to know and that’s enough for me in this situation. She clearly stated that she cares nothing for the community that I’ve grown to truly love. As of right now, my self respect simply will not allow me to give her any more energy. She wanted us all to know that she’s an awful person and cares about nothing but clout through Turtleboy. Godspeed.

Because what's right is right. She doesn't get to unapologetically spread lies about good people of true proven solid character just because she's well liked. I could, frankly, care less about alienating Jess Machado supporters if they can look themselves in the mirror and support or turn a blind eye to her appalling behavior towards several people in the last few months, but specifically, someone who has been a valuable voice for both Karen Read and Turtleboy since before Aidan was even charged. All because someone has deep pockets and spilling poisonous venom in her ear. Jess Machado has lost ALL credibility as a journalist at this point as far as I'm concerned. And I was genuinely a fan. She could've made an effort to make things right and refused. I can't just ignore that. Baker has earned this support, at minimum.
