Look, it’s quite simple: if you don’t recreate every frame and character *exactly* as they are on the page, it’s wokeflake pandering. But if you *do* manage an exact recreation, then it’s too faithful. Basically, whatever this thing is I haven’t seen yet, it’s wrong.
