Having been sick when Hawk Wing died last December, I couldn’t pay homage to the great horse properly. With the Lockinge on tomorrow, it felt like the perfect time to honour him.

Obviously incredibly serious allegations labelled against PCB which needed to be investigated, but a sorry situation for him; he was genuinely one of the best riders in Europe when he was accused. A gifted horseman. Hopefully his weight hasn’t spiraled and he can come back.
