📍 This week, our partners met at @tudelft (NL) for #HealingBat's 9th Consortium Meeting, to review system integration and coordinate efforts towards the last year of the project. The meetings also featured a lab tour and a minisymposium on battery materials and recycling.

📍 We are at the @2030Battery Annual Conference! Yesterday, our coordinator, Stefan Palzer (@TU_Dortmund), shared findings from #HealingBat in a parallel session on 'Functionality Sensing and Healing', together with our sister projects @PhoenixSmartBat and @SalamanderEU.
đź’ˇIn advanced #battery manufacturing, a simple control point can mean variability or consistency. In #HealingBat, we saw cells sealed before full #electrolyte wetting, leading to unstable performance. We fixed that through a readiness check before sealing.

🎯 We have reached a new milestone for the #HealingBat project: the development of our prototype sensor-actuator array by @CovUniResearch and @TU_Dortmund! This prototype can monitor degradation processes in #batterycells, to then trigger #selfhealing mechanisms when needed.
2025 has been filled with progress and milestones in the #HealingBat project. From the life-cycle and techno-economic assessment of the base case, to the 1st-gen of our novel #selfhealing components and healing methods, and the prototype sensor-actuator array. Let's go, 2026!
