HealthBridge’s partner ESAF Foundation worked with the local government in Calicut, Kerala to transform a spot used for waste dumping in the local market. Adding benches, plants and parking spaces has turned a neglected corner of the market into a space where people can gather.

As part of the Livable Cities program in India, HealthBridge’s partner ESAF Foundation organized an initiative for students to plant mangrove saplings in coastal Tirur, Kerala. Mangroves protect shorelines from erosion, support biodiversity and serve as natural carbon sinks.
