Kansas has more financially vulnerable hospitals than any state in the country.
73% of Kansas hospitals had negative operating margins.
Cutting a top payer source will crush rural hospitals.

Medicaid has become central to fighting the opioid epidemic, which Trump calls a priority. Medicaid funds treatment for 1.5 million people & in many states more than 1/2 of them are covered under the ACA's Medicaid expansion to working-poor-which GOP Congress wants to reverse.

Since Kansas has had the option to expand Medicaid, more than $7B of Kansan's own taxpayer dollars have been directed to other states to support their workers and their hospitals. Kansans' tax dollars should stay in Kansas — it's time to expand Medicaid.
