Everyone is offering support, giving advice, providing information — and I am grateful to each and every person who is giving this help to us, to Ukraine. It is important to ensure that the steps to end the war are effective, and that everything is doable. Ukraine has never wanted war, and we will never be an obstacle to peace. Diplomacy has been reinvigorated — and this is good. We expect the outcome to deliver the right steps. And the first priority is a reliable peace, guaranteed security, respect for our people, and respect for everyone who gave their lives defending Ukraine from Russian aggression. Millions of Ukrainians clearly support our state’s position. It is palpable. There is firm support for our independence and Ukrainian sovereignty. People must benefit from all political decisions.

Saw this on Linked In…powerful…. We will never forget. "Dear 77,301,997 Americans who voted for Trump, Being Canadian has never been about shouting the loudest. We don’t pound our chests or demand attention. We are sometimes like the quiet kid on the playground, just wanting to get along with others. We hold doors, say sorry even when it’s not our fault, and shovel our neighbour’s driveway just because it’s the right thing to do. We believe in fairness, decency, and looking out for one another. We are the world’s greatest neighbour… and yes, our spelling is the correct one. We show up. In the words of our Prime Minister on Saturday night, “from the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of the Korean Peninsula, from the fields of Flanders to the streets of Kandahar, we have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours. During the summer of 2005, when Hurricane Katrina ravaged your great city of New Orleans, or mere weeks ago, when we sent water bombers to tackle the wildfires in California, and during the day the world stood still — Sept. 11, 2001 — when we provided refuge to stranded passengers and planes, we were always there, standing with you”. And yet, here we are – watching your president, a man who built his legacy on bullying, turn his sights on us. He mocks us, belittles us, and treats us like some inconvenience rather than the ally who has stood by you through thick and thin. It’s easy to mistake our politeness for passivity, or our kindness for weakness. But here’s the thing about the quiet kid on the playground: push that kid far enough, and that kid pushes back. Canada has never needed to boast about its strength. We just prove it. On battlefields. In boardrooms. On the ice. So, if you think you can push us around and take us for granted – think again. You think we will become your “cherished 51st state” – think again. Underestimate us… that will be fun. Because the quiet kid? The quiet kid remembers. And when the quiet kid finally stands up, the whole playground takes notice. Now we are pissed. Sincerely, Canada"

Jess Philips is a committed and caring minister, and you, sir, are a toxic gonad. The UK is not your plaything, wealth doesn’t exempt you from international law, and owning X doesn’t give you license to poison the discourse of any country whose government you disagree with.

The days of Advent, leading up to Christmas are always about waiting for a miracle. Christmas trees are lit up, wishes made. Here in Ukraine, we have one wish - peace and end of war. Our cities are dark these days, Russia attacks us with drones and missiles every day, our Warriors fighting a heroic battle against an army of orcs. We don't know what the future holds. And waiting for a miracle is kind of childish. But I have faith in Ukraine. And I'm grateful to everyone with us. May the force be with us! Slava Ukraini.

Here's how the water industry works. In the year that your company posts a huge loss you still manage to pay shareholders £125m in dividends and give your CEO a £300,000 pay rise and even that's after poisoning a whole town. And @Ofwat does what exactly? business-live.co.uk/enterpri…

Today is the sobering milestone of 1,000 days since Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. As the people of Ukraine continue to bravely defend their sovereignty, the UK’s commitment to them remains ironclad.

Each day of this war only proves one fact: Moscow is intent on continuing its aggression. This is why they’re attempting to increase their defense production by bypassing sanctions. It’s why they’re increasingly involving North Korea—and in a matter of days, North Korean soldiers may join the battlefield against Ukraine. Ukraine could soon be forced to fight North Korean troops in Europe. These are the conditions we face, where a lack of stronger decisions from our partners to support Ukraine only encourages Putin to invest further in terror. The world can stop this war from unfolding. Words and abstractions are not enough. Concrete steps are needed. We have outlined all such steps in the Victory Plan—the actions that will prevent the aggressors from becoming even more emboldened. We expect greater pressure on Russia. We expect stronger support for Ukraine. This is only fair. And as time passes without action, there are, sadly, constant Russian strikes and continued loss of life.

Usually I don’t talk about stuff like this because frankly it happens way too often. But not today… As I pulled into the same faculty parking lot that I park in all the time @msstate, a white woman was coming out of my office building. Her car was parked next to the space I pulled into.
