I worship at the alter of artifice. The power to change and morph and carve yourself into something of your own will and making is the most potent act of beauty in my eyes. I think ppl often write others off as vain or shallow when they put a lot of energy or stock into how they look but I find it really inspiring. When painting your face is an invocation. When placing rhinestones and pulling on corsets becomes elements of a ritual. You create an experience, you control how ppl think in some ways. This has always been important to me in life. I used tools IRL but its something Iv come to appreciate in the Vtubing sphere as well. Everyone summoning diff artistic mediums to have the power over how their Self is seen.

Both have their shine and both have their drawbacks. The OWoD die hards seem more upset that it's not the same setting. The CoD fans seem more upset that the game wasn't given a proper chance by Grognards who dismissed it out of hand. Can you see which is the more toxic attitude?

Of course this isn't even getting into the problematic issues and which setting has more. OWoD has WAY more of this because of the community attitudes and the hard setting choices. CoD has a looser setting so it's less likely to make these decisions (Not that they aren't present)
