Through the chaos & noise, my seconds-old daughter's crying abruptly stopped when she recognized my voice. Terror turned to curiousity. Despite the bright lights & months of darkness, she was able to open her eyes for a few seconds. This was the first time we saw one another. Hi.
Fallout 76 is the only game in the past like 5 years that has consistently held my attention and called me back over and over. Every few months I get completely sucked into it again.
Big space race nerd. I've always loved the Mercury-era suit in fallout 76. It's the only outfit I've ever worn. I noticed that the name tag on the suit says "G-- COOPER". The first name is covered. Is this meant to be Gordon "Gordo" Cooper? a little mercury 7 easter egg? @Fallout
Turned 40 yesterday!
Had a super fun beach day with family and friends ๐ค
My wife and daughter got me this 1:144 Saturn V model kit by @RevellUSA. I've never put anything like this together. Glue. Paint. Hopefully I don't screw it all up!
My plan is to mount it on the wall ๐
my daughter and i were doing sidewalk chalk. she was picking the prompts.
"draw your favorite fast food restaurant logo. i'm drawing chick fil a." - her
"i cant even picture their logo..." - me
"the foot." - her
"the foot?" - me
and now i can't unsee it.
'For All Mankind' and 'In The Shadow of the Moon' are some of the best Apollo documentaries out there.
For All Mankind was released in 1989. It's beautiful. Like a poem. Music by Brian Eno. It's an incredible watch.
I highly recommend both.
Anyway. That's it for now. I could recommend a lot more books, documentaries, and whatnot ... but everything above is a good start.
I hope this helps with your post-Artemis II depression.
Keep following space!
Upward and onward!
Enjoy.
Artemis II may have splashed down, but our photos and videos from the mission are still rolling in! Keep an eye on the latest: nasa.gov/artemis-ii-multimedโฆ
