501c3 founded by streaming industry veterans to research/test best practices for critical NGO streaming in emerging markets, disaster areas or rural communities
Hey, Tennesee! It’s #taxfree weekend for computer and tablet buys. When you get that new gear, consider donating your #oldtech to Help Me Stream. We’ll give you a tax write off and you’ll be helping those in need stream. hmsrf.org/donate/gear-comput…
One ways @HelpMeStream helps the overall streaming market is through primary research projects like this one we've partnered with @streamingmedia on. Plus you get a chance to register for a drawing for an Oculus Quest 2!
We don’t use referral codes to make money if you buy a products we test/review. We’ll shortly be posting a review of the very sturdy BrosTrend WiFi Extender 1200Mbps Internet Booster Wireless Repeater for Home, which we’ve been testing outdoors for 3 months. #streamingwithheart
What’s going on @CandidDotOrg and @GuideStarUSA ? Seems like chaos as we keep getting the same message every two days, followed a day later by confirmation they’ve successfully received required document. Meanwhile the profile they posted lacks provided info with no way to change
Ok all three @Guidestar Case # resolved and now we’re listed with an appropriate transparency ranking: guidestar.org/profile/84-469… Thanks to Robin for helping sort it out!
Working with new Sites in Workspace? @Google support says Site documents don't port like in Classic Sites. Creates a major hassle if you're shifting primary domains--ask us how we know ;-) #Duplicate Site docs is key since renaming users doesn't shift Site to new primary domain!
And then don't forget to share the #Duplicate Site doc when you republish under the new primary domain. It doesn't default to #public view for a very good reason!
WIN an iPad Mini! The Content Delivery and Edge Compute Trends survey is now open for submissions, and we'd like to ask for your help to better understand today's content delivery landscape. Complete this quick survey and you could win. ow.ly/j2MK50EshDe
Finally approved for Workspace for Nonprofits! Wishing the next two days Help Me Stream Research Foundation should have a new home, thanks to @TechSoup and @Google
Still waiting on @TechSoup to learn how to use the IRS not-for-profit search tool to verify that we're a 501(c)3. They wouldn't accept our scanned copy of the IRS letter, despite requesting it. Does easily accessible tech make for lazy research skills?
Today’s conversation with @TechSoup was basically “your 501c3 confirmation letter from the IRS doesn’t verify you’re a 501c3. Spend money on letterhead or a website to prove you’re a 501c3” A clever way to get 501c3 entities to spend money with @Adobe or something more sinister?
