Been feeling bleak for the past week after I read an essay saying the market for middle-grade books has collapsed because kids can no longer read them. Two long-time publishers of middle-grades have shuttered, with more to come. We don’t appreciate what a crisis this is.

I had the strangest dream last night. Something about the light we perceive in the stars being akin to the neuroactovity in our brains. We perceive time as now, but what we’re living is already a memory to heaven. Like living on a delay. Anyway, in the dream, time caught up and heaven and matter became one in me. It was neat.
