I first met Chris when I was a junior in highschool. The trials to make the 72 Olympics were in Anoka Minn. My buddy and I (he wrestled at 105, I wrestled at 138) packed our gear and went to watch/work out on some of the open warmup mats. At one point Dan Gable stepped in to warm up. My buddy and I stepped off the mat to watch, when at one point Dan waved me on to the mat and used me as a takedown dummy for a couple minutes. Chris turned “pro” shortly after the Olympics and trained under Verne Gagne. Dan Gable went on to win gold at the Olympics and became a legend as a coach with a 355-21-5 dual meet record at the University of Iowa and won 21 consecutive consecutive Big Ten Conference championships. I enjoyed dinner last night with Dan Gable and @Fgbrisco and shared that brief but memorable meeting between a 16 year old kid and a future legend. Tonight, along with my partners @ChadBronstein and @IzzyStyle have the honor to award Coach Gable the Real American Freestyle Legends Championship on @foxnation. It will be a special “full circle” moment for that formally 16 year old that's still a kid at heart. I hope you join us.

Meantime, Kramer sneaks into the Garden and helps Mike Brown draw up the game winning play.
