Imagine you are working with a client and they like the first thing you show them but they ask if you can move the furniture around but keep everything else the same. You move the couch and then a fireplace appears.

The heartbreaking part is that the left image is literally how drawing starts. Blocking out ideas like that is a common strategy to art. They’re so close to creating what’s in their head themselves but instant results culture has normalized skipping the part where people fall in love with the journey of creating. The main goal of art has never been instant end product consumption... it feels like society has forgotten that
