⭐️Happy Heybrook!⭐️Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed the introduction to their new topic, 'When do you think it was better to live: during the Stone, Bronze or Iron Age?'. We carved soap into Stone Age tools, created cave paintings and had a go at hunting like real hunter-gatherers!

Today in assembly we shared the story It's A No-Money Day, by Kate Milner, with the children. We talked about empathy and why foodbanks are so important. If you need to use the local foodbank please speak to Mrs Ahmad or find out more information here: rochdale.foodbank.org.uk/

The key question for Year 3 this half term is: Why is the Amazon important to someone living in Rochdale? They have been learning about deforestation, the palm oil trade and how to write a persuasive letter.
Heybrook learning together. Year 6 have been reading Rose Blanche and learning about the night of Kristallnacht. Next week they have a visitor whose family came to Britain on the kindertransport scheme. In art they made clay poppies as they learnt about Remembrance Sunday.
