🚨🚨| JUST IN: US State Department has stepped in to help Cape Verde hero Vozinha’s mother get to the World Cup. After the 40-year-old goalkeeper’s stunning Man of the Match performance (7 saves) in Cape Verde’s historic 0-0 draw vs Spain, his mother Ana Candida Évora couldn’t be there due to visa & bond costs. Now the US State Department is actively reaching out to assist with her visa so she can watch her son live. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has been urged to “do everything in his power” for her to attend Cape Verde’s next match. Vozinha (who grew up with his late grandparents) was emotional post-game: visa issues priced her out in time.
